This is a report section for my research into how to build a generator that will be used on my Aunt Vicki’s property.  This project came about after a visit to my aunt’s house.  We went to see their pigs, and just explore a bit on the property, when Dave, her husband,  mentioned his little windmill and how it wasn’t working.

They have a stream that runs through his property year round, and mentioned that it would be nice to have a generator that he could use with it.  This got me to thinking so I opened my big mouth and said that I thought it was definitely possible.  That it might be easier to make one that to buy one.  Thus I started my research.

I am going to make a page for each part of my project.  I will do my best to analyze the topic, and make the case for how I plan to design each part, or which method to use in general.  If you have any recommendations or comments, please do contribute.   I am not an expert in this field, but with your help, google, and the grace of God above, I may be able to become an expert on the subject.

As the final note, I am taking physics two for scientists and engineers this semester and will have to present a group project.  As a consequence of this being an electrical engineers job, and we will be learning about electricity, I am going to try my best to convince whatever group I get in to help me make a prototype or something.
