I have never written in a blog before, and even my facebook account is extremely sparse.  My wife really wanted to get started on a blog or something, and so we started tannerfamily.blogspot.com.  I wanted more control than is allowed by a blog, or even by wordpress, so I decided to buy a domain, and have it hosted.  The result is this, eternalkin.com.  We wanted something like eternaltanners, eternalfamily, or something similiar but they were all taken.  We then contemplated oneeternalfamily.com and aneternalfamily.com but they were too long.  Then I thought it might be good to look for synonyms of Family, and came upon “kin.”  This makes the domain name nice and short, and so now we have eternalkin.com.

We are not alone on this domain, as I thought it would be fun to create a website for my grandmothers family reunion.  So I added the subdomain fifefamily.eternalkin.com.  So now it is not just me that is alone on this site.

I am married to the most wonderful woman, Jessica, and we have a beautiful baby girl named Zoe.  Zoe was born the day after thanksgiving last year, November 28, 2009.  Jessica and I have been married since March 14, 2008, and we love every moment of it.  Jessica’s mother passed away May 12, 2010 so now we have added Jessica’s little brother, Samuel, to our happy family.

I am a student currently at Salt Lake Community College, but will be attending either Brigham Young University for the winter semester starting January 2011, or Fall semester 2011, or else the University of Utah for the Fall semester 2011.  It all depends on if BYU will accept me or not.  I am studying to be an Electrical Engineer, and have been taking classes for the last 3 years, and probably 3 years to come.
